Fedde had gotten DFA'd earlier this week, so I'm guessing Atlanta was fine taking him for basically free to sustain their rotation given all the injuries they have.

The Tigers have acquired right-hander Chris Paddack from the Twins, per Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. An earlier report from Rosenthal and Dan Hayes of The Athletic said the two clubs were in serious discussions about a deal which would send a minor leaguer to the Twins for Paddack. The minor leaguer is catcher/first baseman Enrique Jimenez, per Robert Murray of FanSided. The Tigers are also acquiring Randy Dobnak in the deal, per Jeff Passan of ESPN.

Carlos Carrasco is almost certainly dead but the Yankees (I believe) DFAed him a few days ago and the Brewers just paid some cash to pick him up so get ready for him to make some annoying 4 IP, 2 K, 2 BB, 6 hit, 2 ER start in game two of the doubleheader in a few weeks.

Preller is such a fun president of operations. I'm not sure I make as many impactful trades in my dynasty leagues as he does in real life. Going to be interesting to see if he can flip Cease and then turn around and buy an OFer they like, Duran, etc to help them this season and beyond.

I have never gotten the idea that you have to be buyers or sellers. Making yourself better should be the goal.

Yep, he's not who I would have targeted if I were the Reds. They need two decent hitters and they could be a tough out with their starting rotation.

I guess this is why they've been experimenting with Marte in RF. I still don't like it.
