Boyd is done for the day. I don’t like the decision, but he is done after 8.

Yeah , he will  be pitching on extra rest with the break and the pitch count is in good shape . He deserves a chance at it . First reach , you take him out

Boyd has been so good lately that the next time he gives up 4ER in 5 IP, people are going to freak out

The guy has been absolutely lights OUT. I was pretty familiar with him from his days with Cleveland and Detroit so when we signed him I was hopeful but he's been unreal obviously. Don't know who we'll get to slot in behind him and Imanaga but as another poster said, if it's a solid #3 type guy then I'll be satisfied, especially if we don't have to give up Caissie to do it.

Yea, at least let him try, hes not pitching Tuesday in All Star game and his next start will likely be Friday if they decide to give him and Imanaga the extra day rest.

Craig, don’t do anything stupid like not letting Matthew Boyd pitch all 9 innings.

Boyd is at 104 innings for the year. First time he's had more than 88 innings since 2019. He only pitched in and around 60 innings last year after TJS in 2023.

Craig needs to save all the innings he can for Boyd.

I miss the organ at Wrigley.  Now it's just music blaring over the speakers like almost every other team.

Couldn’t agree more. The first year after the change and I found the noise so obnoxious. Even the organ selection isn’t the same. Gary Pressy had a few selections he’d play throughout the game that don’t get played anymore. Some might find it too small a thing to gripe about but for me it took a lot of the magic out of Wrigley.

Being an opposition fan inside Yankee stadium and catching an Aaron Judge home run amongst a sea of Yankee fans has to be frightening once the adrenaline dies down.

Why do teams still pitch to him?

Especially a fastball right down the middle on an 0-2 count. FFS

This is why I wanted to see Brasier lol.  Keller just doesn't have it right now..

Keller's control has completely left the building. Palencia into the game when he shouldn't have had to even sniffed an appearance. Hopefully he's got his good stuff today

Great start for Palencia

It’s a 3 run lead now.

I’m aware. But you can’t assume Judge is going to homer. At least make him earn it.

No reason to put Palencia in at 5-0 and you have to attack Judge regardless of who is on the mound. I have zero complaints with those two decisions.
