Anyone feel like their pitcher just wants to drill one of our guys and get it on?

I'm surprised Marmol hasn't ordered it. It's his MO

Kelly’s dong now means that 7 starters have double digit homers

Reminding me of 1984 Cubs with 6 guys haven't double digits HRs and 80+ RBI.

Not sure if this team will get 6 guys getting 80+ RBI, should be close

Greatest 7th inning stretch at WF was Ozzy Osbourne. That was a thing of beauty. Kerry Wood enjoyed it.

So, Michael Busch might seriously be Rizzo 2.0.

To be fair to Riz, he had entire seasons where he had a higher OPS vs. LHP than RHP.  Busch obviously has time (if given the opportunity) to improve against lefties but Rizzo as it stands today was more complete hitter for that reason.

Yes, but he didn't start like that with the Cubs. Even Busch can become even passable against lefties he's a super exciting player to have.

I mean at this point it is for the better but I can't believe they kept Mikolas in the game in the 6th.  But now they are basically waving the white flag and keeping the pen fresh I guess.

Unfortunately for them Rea is also cruising and will likely go 7

Absolutely, super excited about his improvement this year.  I'm just saying it's not an exact comparison.  I remember Rizzo also mightily struggling vs lefties early on as a Cub so there's certainly a path to improve if he is actually given opportunities.
