I'm a Shaw believer he might even have a good week or two but, holy horsefeathers, his struggles at the plate are getting tiresome.

Boog said before the game that the Cubs are 29th in average and 27th in slug vs lefties since late May. Checks out. They need to find a solution to that and quickly

it feels like an accomplishment when he hits it out of the infield

He had three balls in play with a .490 xBA or higher. Only one hit. There's improvement.

Tonight's first PA wasn't great but yesterday was quite good regardless of result.

But at the same time he hasn't done anything to meaningfully change his future projection, especially since he's already gotten moved off the infield.

For a player that is 22 and has 32 professional games going into the year that seems like a pretty big win.  Wasn't he moved off of 3B just because they already had a 3B?

While Horton did a good job on his last start at Wrigley.  He's yet to have a dominating game, I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to happen at all this season.

We traded the wrong 3B ;(

MLB scouts are like meteorologists. Can continue to be wrong and still have a job.
