Soft tosser who tries to generate GB's, once again, another guy the Cubs should crush.  Busch and PCA should hammer this guy, think even Shaw should hit the ball hard.

And Busch should have been in the lineup yesterday, Skubal, Weathers, Luzardo?  I can understand but, yesterday?  No reason Busch couldn't do something more than Turner.

The broadcast said something about PCA's double being only the second extra-base hit by a lefty against him all year. I'm sure that factored into it. Busch is more than his slug, so I agree with you, but that's the "reason Busch couldn't do something more than Turner yesterday."

From I what a read of McGreevy' profile coupled with the article of Shaw' FB trouble.  I believe if the table was ever set for a top prospect - Shaw- to have a random big day it's tonight.  The league has been working Shaw high and in with FB's, this guy, topping out at 91, doesn't have enough juice to work up in the strike zone.  Working up in the strike zone is exactly opposite of McGreevy wants to do, should set up nicely for Shaw.  Top prospects are allowed to a have a big day or two aren't they?

Literally only the Cardinals would have a pitcher named "Mike McGreevy" who has a 4.00 ERA in the minors and then suddenly comes up and has a 2.27 ERA in the big leagues. The Cubs better knock this guy back to Triple-A.

I swear to Lucifer St. Louis purposely seeks out dudes with stupid names to annoy other fans when they perform well. Goes back to Skippy Schumaker. Lars Nootbaar and Mike McGreevy absolutely fit the bill.

Hodge up Brown down

Yeah I think Brown needs to get some time in Iowa and get things figured out. His peripherals show some bad luck but something isn't working.

Hopefully Hodge is good to go and then presumably Fullmer gets demoted or DFAd for Shota.

Yeah I know there are very valid logistical/contractual reasons against this, but if we can have Brown simultaneously learn a third pitch while also not accruing any innings for like, a month, that would be fantastic. Easy to say you can just throw him into the bullpen when he looks fixed, but....Colin Rea still exists and starters break a lot.

Cardinals are going to have to find a polarizing player that comes up through the minors. Every team in the NL Central basically has a stud pitcher and/or position player, and they're young. NL Central is going to fun for years to come, if Pittsburgh can get their act together.

Cardinals have JJ Wetherholt who will be up soon enough.

Another pitch down the middle another softly hit ground ball

It was 98.5 off the bat, unfortunately, it was on the ground.  Cubs are going to crush this guy.

Can't smoke everything at fielders all night, right?

Right?

Every ball they've hit has been smoked, keep crushing the ball they'll eventually find holes.
