Nope.  It’s Cy Liberatores fault.  Just another buzzsaw elite pitcher.

As long as the consecutive games without a 3 game losing streak continues, I’m good.

His greatest contribution to this team can be as part of a package for Alcantara.

I said before, he'd be perfect to finish the season in bullpen, he can be good for an inning or two.

They should just let him work on stuff in Iowa though and have him ready if needed later in year and be more then ready for next season.

Exactly.  We’ve been scoring an average of 4 runs per game since the late May series where we clobbered the worst team in baseball with 9 runs.  At some point, what was a small worry is going to grow.   That 4 run average is with a bunch of wind and warm aided HRs the last couple days.  The average rpg in June is 4.35.

Yes, that is fair. It is also fair to say the Cubs are not playing well now. It is an overreaction to howl at the moon about everything. I am not suggesting you are doing that.

That's certainly fair.  But admittedly I've been very vocal about their struggles vs left handed hitting, just frustrating to see it again.  Liberatore isn't even that good.  But I trust that Jed has a plan in place.

It may or not be a complete coincidence they’ve been incapable of manufacturing runs or rallying on offense since the Amaya injury. Kelly isn’t Ruth, pitching staff is as a mediocre as ever and the Pirates Marlins, Whitesox or Rockies are no longer on the schedule to pad wins against.

Bet there'll be more fans in stand tomorrow

I dunno about that. I sent a text to a friend that I occasionally talk baseball with. Cards fan. Wasn’t even aware the Cubs were in town. 🙄

Boog: Wow! They got one of the fastest guys in the game.” doesn’t have the same delivery when you’re trailing 8-1 lol.

I think the Cubs were second in OPS against left handed pitching.
