I know the Cubs have the resources. So they can get it done if the Nats are open to it. And I sure hope you are right and they are. Just for discussion sake, does Wiggins, Christian Hernandez and any other bat the Nats want from the system get it done and would you do it? Maybe a small 4th piece is added.

Its likely multiple prospects you dont want to trade, plus more. Like Ballesteros/Caissie/Alcantara tier stuff plus others.

Essentially, if you aren't kind of throwing up typing it out, if it doesnt make you feel like "Is this too much?" Then it probably isnt realistic.

I despise the guessing game of what it might take so this as deep as Ill go. But thats how Id explain it. It should make you feel real pain if youre going to suggest it.

It gonna be one of those games isn't it ?

Bases loaded no outs in first, don't score, then get shutdown the rest of game.

Boyd looks untouchable the whole game, gives up a solo shot that barely made it out and that the winner.

Would be insanely annoying to lose a game 1-0 after getting 3 singles to start the game and then not getting a single hit the rest of the game. Especially with the Tigers and Phillies looming.

It happens. Gore is tough. I knew once they didn’t score he was going to be tough to score on. Still a chance, but even good teams lose once in a while. 15-5 them last 20 isn’t bad. And they haven’t lost yet!!!!

Yay! The Nats might need to activate the mercy rule in the 1st inning.

So one of those games where crappest bullpen losses?

My fault.

Boyd didn’t look as sharp to me in the 8th. Think the Cubs were hoping they wouldn’t have to use the pen

Agree. I think if the Cubs were tied or winning Boyd wouldn’t have pitched into the 8th.
