But I think that is how they determine if the runs are earned. I know everything is different. I get that. But for era sake they just take what happens after. So with the same outcomes Horton gives up 1 earned run today.

I feel like this is the second time PCA has raced to the wall and then straddled it instead of adjusting his route. I think he gets better at that soon and gets every ball.

Lineups even better.  2016 the pitching was historic, they don't win without it.  This team might win it all without a top rotation.

Yes and we have a guy just like javy who right now is better with the bat but as good at getting in guys' heads. I think we had a bunch of guys (Bryant, Rizzo, Lester, even Contreras) who gathered a fair amount of respect but this year, outside of Dansby and Nico, are a bunch of nobodies. I think we're better, and I think we're more hateable this year, and I love it!

Imagine this team +Steele.  Any chance he can pull a Schwarber and come back for the playoffs?  I'd imagine the small chance that he can, he'd be a high leverage reliever

Right now it looks like we’re gonna wake up tomorrow and the cubs are gonna be 4-5 games ahead in the division, tied for the 2nd best record and THE best run differential in all of MLB.

Different injuries. 

An athlete coming back to game action from an ACL inside six months is something you can see happening. Because we already have seen it with Kyle Schwarber, amongst other athletes sooner than Kyle. A player on a team I support did his ACL in March 2024 and returned in September. 

But six months from TJ surgery? You would be hard pressed to find anyone returning to action before 12 months. We wont see Steele back this year.
