do we have any proof this is the case?

I remember years ago, Mike Trout lost almost an entire season because of a soft hand injury.  I get that they have the mitts now, but still seems like an unnecessary risk.  I'd rather have the guys healthy into October than an extra regular season win or two

In 2017, Trout injured his thumb sliding into second on May 27th, tearing a ligament, had surgery on 5/31, and was activated on 7/14, missing 39 games.

He also hurt his calf jogging out a pop out in May 2021, and eventually was shut down for the year, but I guess the lesson there is....don't run to first?

They could just side feet first maybe?  They had Seiya going that when he hurt his hand in April

Hopefully he plays in the Detroit series. A few days is fine. He can probably use a break anyway. Some of these guys are going to get a few days off. So if it is him now, fine. But if it goes past that I start worrying. I imagine PCA is going to get a day in the next 9 games. Happ and Suzuki did get a few days already, so maybe they don’t need time off. Swanson is also due.

No Boog

WHAT A SHOCKER

Man I don’t mind Cohen, he’s much better than the people they threw out there last year, but Boog must be down to like 50% of games

Not even. Seems like he does zero road games, and only about 2/3 of the home games

So predicable that you can joke about Boog never travelling to call road games and end up being correct. Must be nice to take half the baseball schedule off and get paid for it.

Maybe I’m thinking of the wrong player. But it’s happened before.  You recommend not taking precautions when possible?

It’s like telling Caleb Williams not to slide and instead get laid out by a linebacker 😂

Gotta locate the fastball better

Has really yet to do so on consistent basis hopefully, the mistakes will diminish in the near future.

Is it possible that Hoerner lost power over the off-season?

He has the most PA's without a HR in the majors

This version of Nico would bat 8th on a little league team and be a slap hitter.
