Willams was kind of ****** with the Cubs, but then he's been mostly mediocre. I was in DC over Memorial Day weekend. Their park is lovely. I like it.

Abrams, Bell, and Wood are all on fire right now. Proceed with caution.

Most especially Wood, he's the best bat of the three.  If Horton can limit base runners ahead of him, hell keep the Cubs in the game, Cubs should feast on the Nationals' bullpen.

I understand that the Cubs are hyper aggressive on the bases but they really need to stop doing it with guys like Tucker, Suzuki, Busch.  It's only a matter of time before one of them is shelved for 60 days.  At least save it for September/October

Also, wow the Padres are horsefeathers dumb for giving up James Wood and Abrams for 1 year of Soto lmao.  Wow that one could be historically bad.  Is there a better left handed slugger in the game right now than Wood?

Of course not but it's frustrating to see that kind of thing happen.

Maybe Tucker just needs a sliding oven mitt but for his face.

Well as I recall just 2 days ago I read that Tucker will be out at least 2 weeks so Jonny Long might be coming to DH.. But I also read it happened on the last swing of his last AB so maybe we shouldn't let him bat either.

The Carson Kelly at cleanup experiment needed to end like 10 games ago.

Dude hit .203/.292/.328 in the month of May

Not just those two but Gore and Hassell III also.  That could go down as one of the best trades ever.

Technically it was for 2 years of Soto, they just decided to trade him after 1.

That's important context on both sides. Gore and Hassell are great, but the Padres ended up with a year of Soto, Michael King, Drew Thorpe (who was in their trade to get Cease), and some other pieces. Weird trade, but still love the aggression.
