Some day. PCA will be the guy to end the cycle drought. Honestly when I watched the replay I thought he would have had it standing up. The RF lollygagged. Surprised it was so close.

PCA reminded me of the Olympic hurdlers. He hit each bag perfectly in stride with his path around the bases. No lost motion.

And Amaya is still hitting 9th in the lineup… because of his lowest OPS on the roster. Makes complete sense.

He’s been on an offensive tear for a while now.

I know the track record isn't long but please just extend Lopez.  It lets you be much less desperate shopping for bullpen help this winter.

Cubs have a 2.4% chance of clinching a wild card spot.  They need to go on a run, and it needed to be this month because next month is tougher and this month was easy.  They need to sweep the Marlins.

They need a sweep or two to balance out getting swept by Cleveland. On average, they have to win close to every series the rest of the way (so winning 1 of 3 is okay if you sweep the next series). They've done that since the deadline. 6 series since the deadline (including the 2-gamer against the Sox) and they've won 5. The problem is they got swept by Cleveland but haven't swept a series. Would be really nice to at least go 9-3 against Mia, Pit, Wash and Pit leading into the NYY-LAD week.

It also doesn't help that since the All Star Break, Ari is 23-8 and SD is 22-8 so everyone is essentially competing for one spot.

There's no sense in throwing off his offensive rhythm by moving him around in the order. Let him continue to cook in the 9 spot.

Main team that will likely keep them out is the Braves, Mets have a somewhat tougher schedule then both Braves and Cubs.

Cubs aren't catching Arizona or the Padres
