No Dansby again. Obviously he is still stinking out the joint on offense, but I doubt he's just being flat out benched. Probably banged up.

Wonder if Swanson is fighting some physical ailment. 2 days off in a week, this one leading into another day off, is decidedly not the norm for him.

Is JD off for a whole week? Get Girardi off my TV

I bet he's not back until the next homestand.

Best thing about MLB.TV is that you can switch over to the radio broadcast and watch.

Girardi vs. Coomer is a toss up

Whatever the last pitch he threw to Merrill was must look just like a fastball that cuts away from lefties coming out of his hand because Merrill was frozen.

Pat liking Ron versus whatever relationship Boog and Girardi have probably pushes the radio crew over the top though

I think Wesneski is doing some of the seam shifted wake stuff we've seen. There seems to be a difference in his tilt/spin of his cutter this year. I think it's throwing left handed hitters off because his cutter was crushed last year to the tune of a .477 wOBA and this year it's been arguably one of his better pitches. Sample size is too small to definitive say anything yet, but it's having drastic outcome changes this year in the small samples we're seeing.

Feel bad for the cubs starters, every pitch has to be perfect and there no room for error because they can't afford to give up 1 or 2 runs with the way the bats been non existence.
