Since the HR streak ended, Busch is 4 for 27 with 1 BB and 14 K.

I mean none of this surprises me.  He's still a young player that is making adjustments as teams are getting a book on him.  He's gonna sink or swim depending on how he responds.

What's the corresponding 40 man move?  I think that's the biggest obstacle to that right now.

I'd look at cutting Cuas or Neris, probably Neris, I don't think he has anything left in the tank.

Jon Lester wouldn’t have made that play

Lester would have stood there with a blank stare as Ross ran all the way out to get the ball.

Just like Morel during his slump, maybe the four hole isn't the best place in the lineup right now.

I mean....someone has to hit there, for better or for worse. Counsell is playing the hot hand moving Tauchman up to second, but if you take a step back Busch has been our best hitter this year, and yanking people up and down the lineup based on a handful of games probably doesn't go over great in the clubhouse.

And yes, I say that knowing I've made comments about Morel in the clean up spot, but that was a long stretch and also like....look who is hitting 5-9 in this lineup today.

Counsell has really gone with one set lineup though. He's been moving guys up and down all month. The thing with Busch is the K rate. He's striking out at over 50% clip this past week.

Probably wont cut Neris since apparently he's our closer.

Really surprised he's going back to him facing the same hitters as last night

He seemed pretty set before all the injuries. Happ or Hoerner in the leadoff spot, Seiya/Belli/Morel/Dansby 2-5. It hasn't hurt us, so whatever.

Neris here with Little warming up last inning and Leiter being so good so far this year is interesting.
