That’s the preferred outcome but every bone in my body was aching for that game tying FG.

Not so sure that Doubs play was a catch.  Isn’t that the same thing as the Calvin Johnson play, which was called an incompletion?

I get what you are saying, but I had no problem rooting for the packers (against the panthers) in that game.  The packers aren't very good.  Even if they sneak into the playoffs, they won't go anywhere.  If they blew this game and it lead to the bears not having the top pick it would be right up there with some of the devastating losses we have had to them.

I didn't get a great angle on the Doubs catch, but it seemed me may have had control for the catch.  They reviewed it, right?  As far as comparing it to Calvin Johnson, the NFL definitely loosened their requirements for catches a few years ago.  Everyone was complaining when they would call plays like Johnson's or Dez Bryant's an incompletion. They took away the "surviving the ground" component I believe.

Yeah he had control to the ground and then as he rolled over it came out.  TBH I like that being a catch.  If it’s my team I’m pissed if they overturn it.

Jacksonville in free fall and they've got Carolina next week. I was worried Carolina might beat Tampa, but Tampa is playing far better football right now than Jacksonville.

The end of the first half for the Falcons was typical Arthur Smith. They got a first down and spiked the ball to stop the clock, saving their last timeout with 10 seconds left. Nobody bothered calling a play and they let the play clock run down to where they had to call their final timeout anyway. They’re a mediocre offensive play caller and average QB away from being like 12-3.

That’s exactly the type of team that will put 35 up on the Bears and blow us out next week

Stealing my joke from twitter

“Patrick Mahomes is a Hall of Famer regardless of what he does the rest of his career”

Matt Nagy: Oh really?

Huh.  It looked like the Raider got his hand under the ball as it was sliding out.  Tough call but I feel like that’s an INT

It didn't actually completely come out. If you watch the play in slow motion, his white glove is sort of wrapped around the ball as he goes into his roll. As you see the ball touching the ground on the other side of his roll, his white gloved hand is still got ahold of the ball, but it's hard to see it because the background behind his white glove is the white sideline. I wouldn't say it was a convincing catch and I'm not positive that they even considered the glove part of that play, as the announcers were suggesting that they deemed him down by contact before the ball came up loose. I just felt from what I was seeing, that I understood why they ruled it a catch based on his hand still being on the ball at the time, and I didn't have a pony in that race beyond hoping that Green Bay won for draft purposes.
