Somehow I have absolutely no recollection of Texas being in the World Series.

Twice.

In consecutive years.

Lucky you not remembering Ron Washington not having Nelson Cruz further back (or removing him for a better defender) in Game 6.

Yeah, definitely one of those sports franchisers that just screams “never done anything worthwhile in their history.” Like the Cleveland Browns…… or Leicester City. A Google search later and wtf?

I have a weird feeling AZ wins tonight. Might have to sprinkle a bit on that +160 money line.

Me to, I'd really like to see Phillies - Rangers though, far more entertaining match up.

Imagine the Dbacks getting into the WS on a 84-win season....trailing the Cubs in the Wildcard race at the beginning of Sept weren't they?  Sigh.....

Cubs had a half game lead over Arizona on September 16th, then went below the D’Backs the following night and never overtook them again. Arizona were 84-74 on September 26th and then went 0-4, couldn’t be chased down.

Phillies fans literally boo everything they don't like.  Dbacks win and so Phily fans boo, no reason for it LOL.

Definitely got a kick out of how gut-wrenching going to Jake Cave would have been for Philly fans. Somehow an even worse fate than going to Michael Martinez.

Via BetMGM Sportsbook, Arizona began the season at +12500 to win the World Series. They were +550 to make the postseason and -750 to miss it.

+12500! Not doubt there was someone out there crazy enough to put a $100 on that.

I am relieved and dismayed that I didn't even need to see the tweet load to know what was being linked, because I've thought it multiple times when I've heard his name this postseason.

To lean even more into it, as someone who follows Grant Brisbee, David Roth, and Clue Heywood, it's front of mind in pretty much every Arizona game this month.

6 losing seasons in the last 7 years, including 102 and 92 the last two seasons. All it took was for Texas to drag Bruce Bochy out of retirement.
