On the plus side, the last series against the Brewers is pretty much meaningless for them now

I don't think this is an emotional overreaction at this point, but this team is toast. The room for error is now gone and the Cubs have to outplay 2 out of 3 of Arizona, Cincinnati, and Miami.  I don't think they can.

I don’t see it happening either.  Nice season, lots of good things I didn’t see coming.  But not quite enough to win these crucial games down the stretch.
