Beating up on bad teams and teams with horrible starting pitching for 3 weeks was fun, but we aren’t in the same league with the Braves. I had a feeling they were going to humble us real quick. Their offense rakes 1-9 and when they really turn it on, my god they are unstoppable.

Nobody is in the same league with the Braves this year.

What a team this Braves squad is.

Not a single guy has an OPS under the league average.

Mad jealous.

The Braves are the model for how a team should be run. They seem to have a constant pipeline of home-grown talent coming in. They somehow manage to keep their stars on ridiculously team friendly deals.

I have to think the Cubs plan on giving Wesnecki as many inning as he can pitch. Maybe as many as 70 pitches. So that tells me they will send him down after the game to get a fresh arm. Any ideas whi that could be? Who is up to start either today or tomorrow? Or will they just get a pen arm. They will need someone to piggyback Assad.

The somehow is the part that needs to be figured out.  I have no idea how pretty much all of their players signed long term mostly under market extensions to play in some generic ballpark in a suburb of Atlanta for the majority of their careers.
