Enough ink has been spilled about this but if Nagy's whole thinking is like "Fields isn't going to start by week 4-5 but then will play" I find it absolutely baffling. If we're already accepting the fact that Fields is going to take the reins at some point this year, why not just do it now. What is 2-3 more weeks going to do.

Just totally inane.

It is going to get him more experience. He'll have gone through 2-3 post game film sessions, which are different than college. He'll have gone through a few game weeks, which are different than college. He'll have seen NFL defenses going full speed, which is different than college. If you value the things that experience can give you a couple weeks does matter. It's about making him comfortable and not throwing him to the wolves with a battered offensive line. It's a reasonable approach to take.

I think it's probably needlessly conservative, but I'm also not gonna start bleeding from my eyeballs from rage over it.

All year I might eyeball bleed from rage.

The only way that all year is on the table is if Dalton starts lighting in up and they win a ton. I'll be fine if that happens (it's not happening).

The plan continues to be, tank the season and then give Fields the Job instead of giving Fields a chance to actually do something with this season. I'd expect nothing less from Nagy.

Quinn! He's alive!

Quinn with a sack, WTF? Feels like its his first positive play as a Bear. Sort of like the one game Danny Jackson, as a Cub, managed to be effective for 6 innings.

I was driving and listening on the radio. Anyone know why the Bears went for it on 4th down instead of kicking the 49 yard fg?

It was less than a yard. They feel their interior of the line is strong. They *should* be able to pick that up most of the time.

He’s about as dumb as Hicks. Good for a great sack and an absolutely stupid penalty that keeps a drive alive.
