Got to go to the finals of the US Gymnastics trials this weekend since it was in town, it was pretty interesting to see what you can and can't pick out in person in terms of recognizing difficulty and execution compared to TV with someone pointing it out along the way. Keep an eye on Simone Biles, think she could maybe do well in Tokyo.

No idea what thread this should be in, but USA basketball loses an exhibition to Nigeria in Las Vegas. Nigeria were 30 point underdogs coming into the game.

 

Lavine was in at the end of the game and was fouled with 3.5 seconds left down 3. He missed the first FT and then the second on purpose, pretty much ended the game.

So the US men’s basketball team is playing right now yet it’s not being televised? What kind of stupidity is this? But women’s 3x3 basketball is being hyped as next on NBC. Lol.

Pretty sure you can stream it on Peacock, though no idea if they paywalled it. I’d bet a lot they will show it on a major channel later today when they can get more eyeballs on it, that’s just how NBC handles the timezones for these.
