I took a ball off the shin once. I didn't miss any games, but it bothered me a lot all season. Then again, I was probably more of a fine-tuned athlete than any of these bozos.

There's a world where this is painful in that it keeps him out for a few weeks, but longer term ends up being a good thing because it gives his shoulder plenty of rest and prevents him from wearing out in like August.
