I've never seen one of my teams in any sport start the season in a complete meltdown like this

 

Let me tell you a story about the 1997 Cubs.

 

I was gonna say. That was the worst way to start a season ever. Even when I knew the team was dogpoop, there was always a chance to say "Hey, we're 7-5, this could be it." That season just crapped all over your hopes before it even started.

Albies hit like peak Bonds (or Yelich if I may) in that early season series in Chicago I remember. Acuna was not up for that series, iirc. So we faced him at most 3 times (all games in ATL), I think we won 2 of 3 there.
