so am i correct in that sims, massie, and cooper are the only players on this list that haven't been cut yet? and maybe wheaton? i've read conflicting things about him.

Yeah, you're right. Cooper and Wheaton are still being evaluated evidently. No idea why, as both were flat out awful.

Cooper had son decent play this year, at times. Not sure if there's any deadline on his guarantees, but there's only like one other CB under contract, sooooo no need to rush a decision.

if I had to guess, I would have said Forte was in the league 25 years

Ha...I actually thought the day we drafted him and his big debut against the Colts felt like yesterday.

He's might be my favorite Bear of all time honestly (that I actually watched).

in seeing this i tried to come up with mine and i kept going between cutler, urlacher, and mike brown.

I mean Cutler definitely has a huge place in my heart, but a good 30% of that is basically the cult of Smokin Jay/don't care Jay. I thought about throwing a "among non-HOF player" clause in there cuz of Urlacher. Brown is a good one too though.

when i was a kid, it was raymont harris, the ultra back. i have no idea why, because he wasn't all that good.

Richard Dent and Wilbur Marshall were favorites of mine. Singletary, Marshall and Wilson together on the field at the same time really made me happy. It didn't happen a lot because Wilson was injured a lot. That front 7 was the best.

I drew a picture of him as a kid in some art class we had, and then came across that picture a few years ago and thought 'who the horsefeathers is raymont harris'. Forgot all about him

Willie Young is being cut loose. Not sure I like both Young and McPhee being let go. Figured one of Sitton, McPhee and Young could be salvaged while still dumping most of the others. That leaves Massie as the only one of that bunch that I'd probably hang onto, and only if they felt they couldn't improve RT. The game isn't to see who can create the most cap space. I guess we have to hope good players start getting cut because of cap issues.

Wilbur Marshall is my favorite of all-time. I dreamed of hitting QBs like he did to all of the Lions QBs. I think Hipple still has bruised ribs and Ferguson is still hazy.

for me it's Peanut, but the four guys mentioned in the quoted posts are definitely near the top. Brown was so much fun and if it weren't for the injuries he might be my guy. prime Tommie Harris was amazing to watch and if he had any longevity he'd be up there for me as well.

Saw the end of Payton's career, so that makes mine an easy choice. Singletary is up there too. Feel the need to mention Jay. And why no ones brought up Hester yet is surprising to me.

I'm also a Peanut guy, I feel like I can justify him being my favorite Bear of all time based on this picture and what it symbolized.

Yea I'm kind of embarrassed to admit now that calling Forte my favorite Bear ever was a dumb oversight.

Favorite offensive player (low bar that it is) and top 3 though.

Walter is exempt from this list, because he is the greatest running back of all time. Hell, he's damn near the greatest human being of all time.
