Has anyone clarified that Baez play? Was it legitimately the wrong call or can the ump say the contact didn’t affect the play?

MLB network got ahold of an ump (not one from the game) who speculated that it didn’t affect the play so it wasn’t called.

I think I'm being the pessimist to psych myself out of going to the game tonight. The more I think about it, the more it feels like an anxiety attack waiting to happen.

leaving that place will be a logistical nightmare, unless you bring a canoe to float toward the river of tears from all the nationals fans that will be rushing to catch the last train

Also, while I am thrilled it helped the cubs win, I totally agree that the plays where someone’s foot comes off the bag for a split second shouldn’t be overturned because that’s just too small a detail.

The NLCS clinch last year was pure joy, but as far as level of drama I think only game 7 tops it. And that's only because it was game 7 of the freaking World Series. This one might have been wilder.
