What is he supposed to say?

lol i mean on the one hand i agree with you and think most of the outrage around whatever tebow is doing in the minors is ridiculous (HES TAKING AT BATS AWAY FROM REAL PROSPECTS,) but on the other hand your nonstop devotion to defending him is one of the most inexplicable things to happen on this board

That special time of year where MLB will spend the next few weeks promoting and marketing Tebow more than they will the dozens of their young stars actually in MLB over the course of the year.

I think you underestimate how much free time I have. I don't even see how my posts in this thread come close to devotion.

I really hope they do call him up in September and then lose an actual prospect in the Rule 5 that should’ve been in Tebow’s 40 man spot

that's one of the coldest takes i've ever seen

Yet here we are and people still inexplicably care whether Tebow sucking at baseball will keep someone else from sucking at baseball.

Nah. He's just a lunk and it's hilarious when he fails.

I think it's an interesting test case in the debate between running your team as a business and running your team under the goal of winning a World Series. Maybe the Mets aren't the best example, though I honestly don't see the harm in giving him 100 ABs in September over a Jay Bruce or something when they're 20 games out.

But let's say he was a member of the Marlins or something. You've just traded away your entire outfield, you're going to be 20 games out by the ASB, and you're already near the bottom in attendance. Sure, I wouldn't want him taking ABs away from Lewis Brinson or Monte Harrison if they prove that they're ready by then. But JB Shuck or Scott Van Slyke? I can see an argument that the bump in attendance/attention/revenue would be worth it, especially with the built in incentive to lose anyways.

WHAT HAVE WE DONE TO OFFEND THEE:

Pretty sure Mickey Mantle blew his knee out as a rookie on something similar. So there’s definitely hope for Timmy.

So he took 2 well located pitches against a top 3 pitcher and missed the one he swung at, while Scherzer went on to strike out 4 of the other 8 batters faced.

You guys are kind of obsessed with hating Tim Tebow.

am I crazy or didn't this happen last spring training too, it might have been Scherzer exactly but if not another good SP

yeah there was a funny picture of tebow mid swing as the ball was almost in the catcher's mitt
