0-3 2 strikeouts 1 GIDP w/the bases loaded. He reached base once (via HBP) but was promptly doubled off first because he forgot to slide. His first TOOTBLAN of the year.

Oh, he also went to the wrong side of the diamond to take his warmup swings.

All in all, I hope he makes the Mets team.

I don't care if it is unwarranted and unfair. I want him to fail miserably.

This is glorious:

Look at what this bozo is up to after half a year of being paid to play and develop his skills, working hard under the tutelage of professionals at the highest level of the field. Look at him jumping around in the box like a pilled-up monkey! Look at how he somehow corkscrews both legs at the same time! Look at how stiffly locked his front elbow is, and at his wide, sweeping follow-through! Kevin Costner looked far better—more fluid, more natural—when he got in on some spring training action four years ago. Tebow, by contrast, looks exactly like someone who learned how to hit by looking really intensely at a pile of baseball cards and working backwards from there.

There's nothing unwarranted about it. It's a sham and he's a phony. He and the Mets deserve all the scorn possible.

how can he actually do this and take himself seriously? doesn't he feel like a complete horsefeathers being out there when everyone knows it's a big joke? does he actually think he's doing something cool? he seriously looks like a make-a-wish kid out there, it's bizarre.

the only thing i can think of is that he actually buys into his own horsefeathers about inspiring people and he thinks his awfulness is a net-positive somehow. "Look, maybe I don't make it, and that's ok, because that little boy out there" etc

"God told me that I was great at everything, especially baseball."

The thing I hate the most about this whole deal is how much MLB seems to be marketing/promoting it over, you know, their amazing group of young talent currently in the game.

The whole "Tim Tebow saved someone at a baseball game by laying hands on them" BS is kind of a perfect microcosm of this.

The thing I love most is how red-faced it makes people. Like seriously, who cares?

Some Mets' prospect is going to not have a hall of fame career because TEBOW TOOK HIS AT BATS!

The Mets are probably just trying to save on medical bills since they'll be able to have Tebow's magic hands treat their entire pitching staff instead of James Andrews'.

Poor guy got sent down to single-A today.

That's okay, SEC Spring Games have to be soon. I'm sure his broadcasting duties will keep him away for a while.

The SEC is just a reminder that at A-ball, he's not even facing the same level of competition that Florida's college baseball team does.

It's a reminder that he couldn't make an SEC baseball team.
