"I guess we didn't make it clear before you signed, you're not allowed to smile that much here. This is baseball damm it! And that bill is a little too straight for these parts."

Dexter Folwer hit a leadoff home run in a Game 7 we ultimately won. He could sign with ISIS and I'd love him forever.

Yeah, I can't be anything but happy for Fowler. He got that multi-year deal that he deserves.

If the Cardinals weren't a pit of mediocrity I might feel different. But it's not like the Cardinals are actually threatening us for the division title right now even with Dexter, so that helps to make this easier to swallow.

It's just so weird. I can't think of another Cardinals player that isn't a giant dork. Hopefully they have some cool grounds crew people or something or Dexter is going to be so lonely.

Even ISIS wouldn't eat provel cheese.

It can never be overstated how terrible provel is.

yeah, I just looked at their roster, I can't think of one either. http://m.cardinals.mlb.com/roster/

Oh well, Dex has his money, long-term deal, and we'll still love him forever.

Yes and don't tell me I think that just because they were Cardinals. Edmonds, Miles and Lackey are/were all twerps on the Cubs too (I don't care what you say). Heyward is cool, but according to Cardinals fans he basically rejected their culture and way of life by leaving for the Cubs, so that's probably why.

Also great job by the board, I can only imagine the number of Cardinal fans that visited here looking to see us ripping Dex, calling him a 'trader', etc a la Heyward last year and left disappointed.

Edmonds tore horsefeathers up for us and was in full eff-you mode against STL at that point (even though he obviously got over it), so I won't concede he was a twerp as a Cub.

Lackey definitely is/was, though, and Miles can DIAF

DAMN... I thought that was Heyward. Fowler has the best celebrations/reactions. That, Schwarber Dong vs Cole last season, his game 7 HR trot, etc..

He clearly knew it was gone off the bat. Of course we all did. That's a great photo.

That is a great photo. The ump, catcher, Ricketts in the background all tracking the flight of the ball.
