Tonight's perfect ending: Lester picks Linder off first to end the game.

Jon Lester with the long con, he's never really had a problem with pick-offs he just been setting up the Indians for tonight.

Going back to Kluber's last start to make me feel better about tonight. Yes he had good results but I forgot how many good ABs we had. Here are some of the end results of ABs:

Double

Single

Fly ball to deep CF

Lineout

Single

Walk

HBP

Fly ball to deep CF

Single

Fly ball to deep LCF

Fly ball to deep RF

Double

12 instances of either very good contact off Kluber or a positive result (hit, walk, hbp) in 6 innings. If we do that tonight with average luck we put up 3-4 runs.

Two "is it just me, or..." questions for the peanut gallery:

Is it just me, or do you also get a little jolt of happy when you refresh the current game page before the game and discover there's a new page you haven't read?

Is it just me, or do you also get a chuckle out of the Bryce Harper commercials about him being in the playoffs, when the Nats got eliminated what feels like ages ago?

Such a goofy look he has on his face when he says, "What if I hit a walk off bomb?"

Oh look, I just started a new page. Go Cubs!

I have nothing to add to this thread that hasn't already been said. I'm just posting in order to officially be a part of the Game 7 thread.

I think I already posted, but I have zero memory/concentration so Im gonna post for similar reasons.

Game horsefeathering 7 of the mother horsefeathering world series.

We'll be a lot less nervous when Schawber hits one into the Cuyahoga.

(note, this may or may not require a baseball to travel the entire circumference of the earth, which would be cool)

I am about to leave to cover a prep sports event. I am actually leaving it a bit early so I can get home and watch the Cubs play Game 7 in the freaking World Series. We could be champions tonight. Holy hell.

I'm leaving work early, but I also don't want to get into anything new at work because I want to make sure I leave when I've originally planned? Does that make sense?

At any rate, it's a good excuse for not being terribly useful in the office this afternoon.
