i'm seriously a horsefeathering wreck right now... i've seriously found myself on the verge of tears like 6x today when i start allowing myself to contemplate a win tonight. i might actually sob uncontrollably if it happens which is not something i do frequently at all.

my mind is even rejecting the idea that we win the world series if we win this game...i can only contemplate winning the game itself.

also i'm sort of delirious in a sleep deprived mild hangover state so please take that into account when hearing my ramblings

I don't think anyone will judge you for it, much. And even if they do, you really shouldn't care.

I have caught myself going there several times today and had to snap back to reality. I have no idea how I will react when that daydream becomes reality, but I sure hope to find out.

I'm pretty sure I'll do that regardless of the outcome...

I am remaining heavily guarded....like David said, I'm trying to tell myself that a win doesnt mean world series champs. if i start day dreaming about the celebration and horsefeathers it sets me up for an even more painful emotional kick in the balls if the unthinkable happens.

I'm pretty sure that's not gonna happen though, have a decently good feeling.

is it just me, or is this move by the Indians on par with if the Cubs were to invite Henry Rowengartener from American Pie?

They have. Many times.

But that's not a move by the Indians. Some tshirt company brought him.

i don't even know that it's a defense mechanism. it's like i can't grasp it. i still don't even really comprehend that we're actually in teh world series, let alone game 7.

Not even when the guys won the pennant?

I think the most annoying thing about the media narrative today is how the focus is on every pitcher that will throw today except Hendricks...who might just be the best option of all today.

Happened in game 6 of the last series

Nope

I'm only worried about one thing tonight: KB. Because he gets to drink alcohol for the first time tonight and I don't want him to overdue it.

I am a girl scout leader and we have a meeting tonight that doesn't get over until 7:30. I was planning on leaving early, but just found out one of my co-leaders cannot come tonight because she has some church thing so I have to be there the whole time. Some how God is deemed more important than Cubs in game 7. I will be streaming it on my phone during the meeting.

I'm not going to pretend what most of these numbers mean, but they sound important, and I have a lot of nervous energy to burn. So:

Adjusted Pitching: Wins

Kyle Hendricks 4.2

Corey Kluber 3.4

Adjusted Pitching: Runs

Kyle 39

Corey 33

Sit. Wins Saved (WPA/LI)

Kyle 4.5

Corey 3.9

Base Out Wins Saved (REW)

Kyle 4.6

Corey 3.4

Base Out Runs Saved (RE24)

Kyle 41.78

Corey 33.83

Win Probability Added

Kyle 4.1

Corey 2.6

Coupled with the fact that our offense is better than theirs by a lot, these make me happy. At least I think they should.

I'm not sure how I'll feel. I don't foresee tears, though my best friend will be a wreck

This seems like an accurate simulation of what my emotions will be like as victory happens:

Since the Cubs prefer to have Contreras matched with Chapman, I'm thinking he'll be the first one out of the pen as long as Hendricks goes at least 5 innings. Then if we need another pitcher, I'm guessing it'll be Lester and Ross for the save.
