And the team knows what is wrong. In the pregame they mentioned how last night the Cubs swung at the second most pitches outside of the zone they have all season, and that "team officials" were not happy. Half the team has just abandoned their plate discipline.

Just giving so much away right now. I mean Kluber is good, but god [expletive] damn it, the kids are just swinging at everything

Perhaps they'd been playing over their heads?

if you "play over your head" to the tune of 103 wins and a +252RD, that's not over your head, that's just who you are.

Then I don't want to see whoever these imposters are again.

All season? No way. WS? Yes. Folding under the pressure.

I tend to think more just going through bad slumps and pressing. But not sure it's because of the pressure. These dudes have done some big-time things in some huge pressure-packed games during this playoff run. Javy and Willson trying to play hero is a lot different than Javy and Willson being overcome by this stage.

Yep. They are clearly just folding under pressure. Just like Kershaw did in game 6.

Maybe they will play better when down 3-1 and pressure is off.

I don't think it's even folding under the pressure as it is being unprepared for this particular opponent.

Not saying it will happen, but the Cubs coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the World Series does seem like the appropriate way to cap off this season and make the 30-for-30 even better.

Like I said earlier, I love the pitching matchups the rest of the way. The offense of course needs to wake up.
