Oh God, they've let in Jason Parks and the hipsters. Pabst Blue Ribbon lockerroom celebration!!!

lmao i forgot about him. How ironic that he blocked me on twitter (before he was with the cubs) because i trolled him all teh time about how good javy baez was

Parks loved Javy though.

Now that we have a Javy vs. Lindor World Series, we can finally settle this once and for all.

Still drinking heavily. Watching the coverage. Questioning reality.

I wanna see your spoiler happen vs. Cleveland on Tuesday. And a couple times more after that.

That's at least twice I'fe heard ARod say that the Giants took us to five games.

Felt like it, given extras in 3 and late charge in 4... But he should obviously know better, or be made to know better

Man, Kyle is a stud. He just pitched one of the better games you'll see in one of the franchise's biggest games in history, going against one of the best pitchers ever. And he was stoic the whole time. I couldn't love him any more.

So, Kyle, how often have the Cubs had a three game WINNING streak in the playoffs?

Off the top of my head, last year against the Cardinals and 2003 against the Marlins.

And looking it up, the only other is six straight across 1907 and 1908

At this point, it doesn't really matter, because we're in the World Series, and who gives a horsefeathers? But how nuts is it that we are doing this with a bunch of 22- and 23-year-old kids? Not to get into a whole narrative about Lovable Losers and such, because that's all over now. But we waited 108 years and it's going to be a bunch of kids that finally do it.

Posted this is earlier in another thread but gonna add it here too:

When the Cubs win this series I will gladly pay someone to get me a copy of the next days newspapers. I will be in Chicago the week before Thanksgiving and can certainly meet to pick it up, or if you prefer you can ship it to me at my expense.

I'm already sick of the "oh, I guess this means Trump is going to be president, dur-hur-hur"-type of jokes. How about the first woman president of the US if we're talking about unprecedented, kick ass things happening? Don't taint this with Trump nonsense (and that includes you, Joe Ricketts. horsefeathers you and your horsefeathers ass Benghazi commercials during the game).

Did you mean to post this in the Politics thread? Relax, enjoy, be happy.

I wasn't nervous the whole game. Part of it was because of getting the early lead, I'm sure. But this game felt different. I've been a nervous wreck this whole month. But the last two days, I've been really chill. There was just a calm, easy feeling, as if this outcome was predetermined.

It MIGHT be, it COULD be... the dawn of a new era. One that yours truly has been waiting a while to experience.

thats exactly what I mean. WE JUST ROCKED THE BEST PITCHER IN THE WORLD a WEEK after he dominated us.

holy hell its been hard to be a fan of this team so so long. All that belief in who we were and how it was put together. And I cant figure out how good we really are. but its more then I thought

This series actually couldn't have gone any better from a story standpoint, the two shutouts made the series tense and allowed it to be clinched at home. Outside of 1 inning in game 1 and all of game 2 and 3 this thing was basically a beat-down.
