Yup. horsefeathers the west coast. I want the Nationals to win their series for so many reasons, but ESPECIALLY this one.

The NLCS games will be starting around 7pm central time regardless if it is Washington or LA.

Most likely, unless the Red Sox come back and win the DS; they'd probably get a few primetime slots.

Go Indians.

Boston is a big sports town but a tiny market. 650K population vs all of Chicago and the rest of the country wanting to see the Cubs either make the world series or go down in flames.

So lets play guess the lineup

Fowler 8

Bryant 5

Rizzo 3

Zobrist 9

Soler 7

Baez 4

Russell 6

Montero 2

Arrieta 1

Edit:

Dammit was off. Swap Soler and Zo, as well as Javy and Addy

Defense be damned, I'm excited to see Georgie in there. Hopefully Bumgarner tries to attack him and Javy like he did Cespedes and they jump on one of those 92 MPH fastballs up Edited by Cubswin11

I'm waiting for Theo to log in as Ski and say this is awful and we're giving up 50 in the 1st inning tonight. Maybe even say Maddon should be fired.

That is...dumb.

I'd say that's overstating it.

I don't hate it. It leaves me a little scared, yes, but I'm OK with that.

Guessing his reasoning:

-Jake allows a lot of ground balls (7th in NL in GB/FB), IF defense is more important in this one than OF defense. Riz, Javy, Addy, KB is our optimal defensive infield (and happens to also be insanely good offensively especially against a lefty)

-Jake also allows a miniscule amount of hard contact. If it goes into the OF, chances are its a weak fly ball.

-The overall idea is to score some runs with the optimal offensive lineup (save Miggy/Contreras) and then lock it down with defensive replacements

It's not a terrible strategy although I reserve the right to flip my horsefeathers if Georgie misplays one in LF.

I was not expecting this. Wasn't it in SF earlier this year when Soler miraculously robbed a homer? Maybe he'll do that again.
