Since this happened after he got promoted, he loses a full year of service time with this. If it had happened a few starts earlier, they would have saved a whole bunch of cash later on.

I wonder if any White Sox fans are looking over at the Mets rotation with DeGrom, Thor, Matz, and Harvey in 2015 and starting to feel a little less comfortable about the future. Or heck, our 2003 rotation with Prior, Wood, Zambrano and Clement.

They have Kopech gone till 2020 and the chance Cease isn't a reliever with a good half from Rodon?

Is consider them lucky if they sniff the success or the 03 Cubs & 15 Mets pitching staffs and teams.

I do miss Eloy though.

Nah, I'm sure they've convinced themselves that building through young pitching is totally going to work for them

Sox fans I know think they are set better than the young Cubs were because they have a balance between pitching & hitting prospects.

Then again, they still think Moncada will be a superstar, too.

For those still hanging on to hope that Sale's stomach ailment was really due to his belly-button ring, just remember that he once attributed a foot injury to roundhouse kicking a home intruder in the head.

I know he's not injured but that delivery and that velocity... only a matter of time till he gets hurt again. Man, those mechanics are terrible but he did hit 102 on that pitch.

They're saying he's fine and still on track to start opening day but everything coming out about Clayton Kershaw this past week has been pretty ominous.
