So far the following teams are officially out per Twitter reports:

Yankees

Red Sox

Blue Jays

Twins

Mets

Athletics

Pirates

Brewers

Diamondbacks

White Sox

Cardinals

Rays

The following teams are definitely still in:

Mariners

Giants

Then you have the Padres, Dodgers and Angels all on the preferred WC. Not officially still in but very likely

do we even want this loser if he so badly wants to play in a small market?

As was mentioned it was stupid New York “small market” talk since everyone other than them is a peasant in their head. The remaining markets so far are Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, LA, San Diego and Dallas. Those are all large markets.

Do you think the Phillies got a formal rejection or did they just figure the interview the other day would suffice?

I just assume he’s going to make his announcement to which non-Phillies team he picks in front of the Rocky statue

I know whoever gets them puts them in the front-runner position for the long term, but it will pretty much only be a one year deal no matter who he signs with because of the spending limits, right? Then he goes off into free agency?
