Zobrist>Rat face is the least exciting part of the lineup regardless of their performance here.

I can deal with how boring an unexciting Zobrist is if he keeps OBPing .380

 

Love where his OBP sits. I'm waiting for his OPS/OPS+ to slowly rise above Starlin Castro's.

this was the ross i was talking about when i said he could easily have a decent offensive year because he had been a decent offensive player in the past because the sample of him sucking wasn't large enough to be sure that he sucked because he was old and not just because baseball

I love how a backup catcher hitting a home run is orders of magnitude more surprising than the starting pitcher giving up a hit.

Anecdotally, he looked totally overmatched at times last year, missing fastballs in the heart of the plate and late on a whole bunch of stuff. This year he doesn't.

In terms of the eye test, his bat looked extremely slow to me last year, so I was pretty convinced it was old age.
