Lackey would have won game 4 of the NLCS but was pulled after 4 1/3 after walking 2 straight guys in a 4-0 (I think) game that the Cubs won 10-2

I hope they stay Cubs for their whole careers and then immediately host some sort of show together. Maybe they can take over for Mike & Mike and have "Bryzzo in the Morning"

This is interesting, from John Dewan's weekly email/newsletter thing.

 

 

Especially interesting is that all 3 regular catchers are dealing with especially slow pitchers, the fastest of which is 16th slowest of 95. Montero's placement both validates my thought that Arrieta hurts him(relative to non-Cub catchers) and invalidates that thought(relative to Cub catchers). What is pretty indisputable is that Contreras is a weapon against the running game.

The opportunity I'm always on the lookout for is whenever I see someone for the first time since before Nov 2nd, so I can observe that it's been so long since I've seen them, the Cubs have won a World Series since then. (I'll get to break that one out again this week.)
