The Nike jerseys were released for sale, and it looks like there are some minor changes. Obviously they may just be differences between the retail versions and the actual on-field versions or just a product of errors/variations in the artist renderings

 

home - front patch is smaller

 

road - no number on the front... honestly I don't think I would have said the majestic road jerseys had numbers on the front if asked but the ones for sale from last season have them on there so I guess they were. The 'Chicago' lettering on the front looks slightly smaller.

I hate the swoosh placement on the jerseys. I get why they did it but it’s so distracting. I’m sure I’ll get use to it but I hate it. I hate it enough that if I get a New Jersey any time soon I’ll probably look for an older Majestic version that doesn’t have a swoosh.

The benefit for a company as big as Nike to have the logo there instead of on a sleeve has to be so low that it seems real dumb that they put it in such a an annoying place, but ultimately it doesn't really matter.

That swoosh looks really silly. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but if I was in the market for a jersey I would think twice before buying one of those.

I'm glad I have a non-swoosh jersey (bought a Santo 10 years ago and will probably never buy another).

 

That said, those are otherwise ok. I approve of getting rid of the number on the front of the road grays. Makes it cleaner. The smaller front patches on the other 2 will probably take about 3 minutes of getting used to.

They've been using this logo for the batting practice hats for like 4 years now

 

 

I wouldn't mind them switching to that from the bear walking through the C on the alt jersey.

Seems unnecessary to give this horsefeathers a thank you since he’s most well known for being complete ass in 2018 after being traded for and part of the reason we lost the division by 1 game. He gave up 14 runs in 18 innings here after being traded for.

Very good rundown of the new front office folks. One piece of info buried in there is that Brendan Sagara left for the Rangers, which I had not heard yet. He'd been credited with much of the good stuff that happened pitching-wise on the farm the last year or two, specifically unlocking Brailyn Marquez last summer. That one stings.
