Am I the only one who never knew this?

The full name on Russell's birth certificate is Geoffreye O'Neal Addison Robert Watts Jr III.

Addison's unusual first name comes from a character played by actor Bruce Willis on the 1980s hit television show Moonlighting. His mother, Milany Ocampo-Russell, was a great fan of Willis and his character, detective David Addison, and decided to name her son after him. It is only a coincidence that Wrigley Field's address is 1060 W. Addison Street. His full name was much longer, with his original first name being the oddly-spelled Geoffreye; when his mother married his stepfather when Addison was 13, he got to choose the name he would go by and selected Addison, combined with his stepfather's last name of Russell.

I knew the Moonlighting thing re: Addison, but I can't remember for sure if I knew he had that crazy long name. I think I did.

Other fun with names:

Bryant's full first name is Kristopher (gross)

Almora's first name is Reinaldo

Heyward's middle name is Alias

Javy's first name is Ednel

Hendricks' middle name is Christian

Wade Davis' middle name is Allen, which ALMOST makes him a serial killer (Wayne Allen seems to be the first/middle name of many murderers)

I knew he had a crazy long and odd name. Don’t remember where I learned that but I think it was Len during a broadcast. I still don’t get how you can you be a III and a Jr.

Man, how come this thread still has such a lame title?

It was called "Addison Russell is awesome and deserves a thread" until the whole 'maybe possibly hit his wife' thing happened.

I think literally any sitcom can survive on CBS. What the holy horsefeathers.

Didn't 2 Broke Girls get cancelled?

I've never heard of this sitcom. Why would you get Addison Russell? I hope he didn't take any swings while they were filming. If he did then some of the film crew better watch out lol.

Yeah, they really headed that one off at the pass after only 6 short seasons and 138 miserable episodes.

more surprising than finding out there's a television program out there called "superior donuts" was finding out it's in its 2nd season

I'm most surprised that Bob Sanders nailed the possessive and contractive form on an internet

I'm sorry, that was too personal. I know you as a no-punctuation guy, I didn't mean to imply that you were a dummy

The show is set in Chicago. The only reason I know that is because David Koechner is on it and he was in town doing a stand-up show and stopped by Second City to promote it on the news several months back.
