Caught the black per Gameday. I just assume that the actual zone is a full baseball's length outside of what TBS shows.

 

I'm probsbly biased but he seems to get every close call, that's what's so frustrating

Everyone was hysterical after the first Cardinals game, and the Pitch F/X data showed that the zone was consistent and barely more than a couple of inches wide.

 

This one is probably worse, but it won't look as bad as the complaints would imply when the real data is posted.

So we trust gameday all year long but now we're going to believe TBS instead? Sorry. I gave up on the TBS zone a few games ago. The thing isn't accurate at all and we can't tell with the naked eye if a ball is outside because the camera is off to the side.
