I was fully prepared for us to lose a series somewhere along the line here. But I was at least expecting some respectable team to be the one to get there if it wasn't us, not this random assortment of veteran hitters and a bunch of young pitchers all peaking at the right time.

Not saying it's over...I just felt like we still had something to prove against St. Louis, and was so happy that we went out and did that. Would have been the same against the Dodgers, or hell even Washington if you gave me the hypothetical in April. It sucks that out of all this, right now the Mets are somehow the heavy favorite to be the one to come out all of this.

this mets team is basically the 03 cubs

Athlete's ERA in innings where he doesn't allow runs is 0.00.

Murphy's exit velocity on the homer was 90 mph. I'll bet 1% of homers had an exit velocity that low

There's a tweet earlier this thread that said exactly that. 11 HR all year were that slow.

I don't know if you stole Brett's Tweet, but that is exactly correct

Yeah I didn't realize it at the time because I was like 14, but it must have been pretty frustrating for a Braves fan (or whoever else was good) to watch us and the cobbled together Florida Marlins in the NLCS.

I posted a tweet that said only 11 HRs this year have been hit with that exit velocity or less this year. Less than 1% of all HRs

Edit: looks like I'm repeating everyone else
