I hope Russell is good to go, but I have zero concerns about Javy.

It sure would be nice to wrap the series up tomorrow with Javy in there and give Russell a nice rest to be ready for Game 1 of the NLCS.

Arrieta was just following the Bumgarner path from last year.

Bum CG shutout against Pittsburgh but gave up 3 runs in 7 innings in his second start (Game 3 of the NLDS)

Arrieta CG shutout against Pittsburgh but gave up 4 runs in 5 2/3 innings in his second start.

So Arrieta's outing was worse but the Cubs won the Game whereas the Giants lost.

Haven't read the thread, so forgive me if its been stated, but 100 wins on the season total. Unless you were alive in 1945 this is the season you have celebrated more Cubs wins than any other in your life.

Soler turning into a superhuman in the playoffs to completely wipe away any bad taste from his struggles this year has cemented this season as my favorite to have watched as a Cubs fan

I would assume we see rat boy at 2B and Castro at SS if Russell can't go tomorrow, though I'd personally throw Javy back out there for redemption dongs and magnificent defense

So, everybody but Fred then. Nice.

The thought that makes me smile is, in 14 years when Soler's career is winding down, teams will pick him up to be a bat off the bench just because he does damage to the Cardinals.

With Lackey going tomorrow, that wouldn't surprise me at all. I'd bet we don't see Jorge in all his glory because of that either.

Who is rat boy?

Wow not even 20 seconds elapse before throwing it to NY

Two largest markets in the game. Not all that surprising. Don't tell the BFIB

I know but at least give Cubs fans a minute to watch their team celebrate on the field. It's not like we do this a lot.

It's like TBS was trying to find the shortest amount of time possible to actually be live at Wrigley tonight. 1 minute of pregame at the park live. No stretch. Never showed the crowd. No Postgame shot of the crowd and the W flags.

I don't know how you sit Soler when he is yet to make an out.

Agreed, maybe Coghlan at 2B if no Russell. Tho it has been forever since he played there and he never looked great to me
