God I hope the Blue Jays win tomorrow so we don't play in the [expletive] afternoon on Monday.

I didn't even realize a non-afternoon game was possible. Triples the intensity that I was going to root for the Texans already.

Wait, now I'm very confused. How does them winning keep us from playing in the afternoon? I assumed non-competition would bump the Cubs to primetime?

now that it's not possible I can say that I honestly think this team being swept by those pieces of crap would have been the worst moment of sports fandom

Beating them to win our first series after losing the first game will be the best moment of your sports fandom.

also potentially true, considering I don't care about the Blackhawks that much, and I was 6-13 for the Bulls

You would think so, but nope. The Cubs are either the 2nd game out of o3 or the 3rd game out of 4. The 3rd game out of 4 makes it just a slightly later start time.

Just looking at the weather for Monday, might be better if we play an afternoon game. Temperature is supposed to cool off from the 70's rather quickly after 5:00 PM.

The peak of the red bar is 1:00 PM-2:00 PM:

on the flip side, if the Mets sweep does that mean the Cubs get the late game for game 4?

Just feeling like we were in a series is something I haven't felt in 12 years! So freaking awesome!

Yeah. I'll admit I was pretty nervous about today. That 2nd inning quickly had me feeling confident again.

Let's do this [expletive]. :flythew:

Uhhhg. I'm in Mountain time zone, and I'm not quite enough of a slacker for that early of a start time to let me watch the start. The only bonus is that my supervisor and another boss-like-person are Card fans, so I'll conspire to get us to either watch at work somehow, or take off early.

Who is this guy on MLB Network? First Kyle Hendricks was Kyle Kendricks, now Travis Wood is Alex Wood.

Was it me or did the guy on TBS call Austin Jackson, Edwin in the post game interview?

I'm pretty sure there was a "Travis" Cahill on TBS after the game as well.

During the broadcast the play by play guy said Danny Peralta.
