Yeah, that's where I am. Not a big Gregory fan though.

I still have no idea why you're high on Dupree. I'll gladly be wrong.

They drafted his clone 20 years ago.

Yep...kinda hilarious how long they've had the paywall and this still works.

Well, it's not accidental.

Then why bother with the paywall at all?

because many/most who go directly to the tribune site don't know about the loophole and some people actually pay for it.

There's an absurd amount of traffic that they'd be missing out on from Google News users and regular people using Google and searching for topics around the world.

As part of their evaluation process for Cutler, the Bears are going beyond the usual video reviews and expected to be reaching out for thoughts from some of the very offensive coaches who lost jobs in part due to Cutler. That group includes coordinators Ron Turner, Mike Martz, Mike Tice and Aaron Kromer, plus former quarterbacks coaches Matt Cavanaugh and Pep Hamilton, now Andrew Luck’s offensive coordinator with the Indianapolis Colts, sources confirmed. The Bears were not expected to be in touch with all of the former staffers.

The Bears are also expected to show interest in former New York Jet and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez .

Trying to talk to Aaron Kromer about his thoughts on Cutler would be a futile exercise.

7. Chicago Bears

Needs: DB, LB, pass rusher

The pick: Marcus Mariota (QB, Oregon) – Head coach John Fox wants to run the football and play great defense. Jay Cutler just doesn't fit that type of environment (or any other to be frank). The Bears have outstanding offensive skill-position personnel which will make Mariota's transition easier. Offensive coordinator Adam Gase and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains get to mold Mariota into the Bears' franchise QB. (Sidenote: If Mariota falls to No. 7, expect Chip Kelly and the Eagles to be doing everything possible to move up and select him.)

It depends on how you feel about Mariota, but if you feel he's a franchise caliber QB you take him at 7 in the scenario he falls- regardless of what you think of Cutler. If you don't think he is, trade down baby.

Sounds to me like they're seeking validation for parting with Cutler. Do they really think any of these guys are going to endorse him?

You didn't read the article.

Not all of the feedback has been negative from some members of a group whose careers sustained serious setbacks from their times with Cutler. Overshadowed by his turnovers, suspect leadership and questionable decision-making has been a consistent work ethic, love of the game and clearly enough physical talent to deliver occasional top play.
