- The UC was half as loud as normal during the intro yesterday (partially because the new current-team animation and music both suck). Its a bad sign when the fans can sense that you don't give a [expletive].

When they have a wait list 10K deep I guess they get arrogant. I have a 9 game partial package, three of the games fell on Friday/Saturday, I sold them and it covered the cost of the entire package. The fans that show up now, at least on the Fri/Sat nights are there just to drink, they don't "wait for the whistle" its a pain.

Waiting for the whistle sucks.

Why? So you can piss off the people sitting behind and next to you?

But you know, I'm not going to be one of those people who complains...

Good. There's not much worse than fans bitching about lesser fans attending games.

It's great that there a new fans coming to the game, but at the same time respect the other paying customers.

Because you are attending a sporting event, and the need for beer can come about at any time. As long as you aren't lingering, you aren't bothering me. If seeing other humans move while watching a sporting event bothers you I think you have mental problems.

They even have Toews doing a public service announcement talking about waiting for the whistle, they have ushers not letting people to their seats from the concourse. It's not something new, its not something mental. Commercial breaks occur after the 6:00, 10:00 and 14:00 minute mark, if people don't have enough common sense to wait for a couple minutes so they can buy some shitty budweiser they deserve to get yelled at. This isn't basketball or baseball where it isnt really a big inconvenience, in hockey it is.

Yeah, I'm with Brian on this one. It's a matter of courtesy.

In St. Louis they have curtains they pull closed during play at each section entrance. You can step inside the curtain and stand there until a whistle, but they make clear you should wait. They seemed more laid back about it at the UC.

I'll wait to go back down, because they make you. But it's a stupid rule that only weirdos would get upset with when violated.

Intermission time is an impossibility. There's only two periods of legal beer selling going on and only a handful of seemingly "appropriate" times to get-up. That is dumb, unacceptable and should be ignored.

If you are sooooooo into the game that this actually bothers you then you have problems (not talking about lingerers, lingering is bad). Get-up and go and come back and sit.

I would say that having a "need" for beer that can't wait five minutes to be courteous to other people is more mental problem than being annoyed by people blocking the view you paid to see.

It's more of a physical addiction than mental.

Live sports without a lot of beer is pointless.

Then 98% of hockey fans must be weirdos. Besides they have beer vendors all over the aisles anyway if you get the shakes for a lack of alcohol .I agree with intermission time being a [expletive], that's why I usually shoot down to the bathroom when the last break before the period occurs. I fail to see how people can be so inconsiderate, dumb, or complete assholes to other people trying to watch a game. Hockey is different, there isn't much scoring, people don't want some jerk getting up while Kane is on a 2 on 1 because they can't wait a minute for a whistle.

I'm definitely a hockey fan, and this percentage is high, but probably not by a ton. Hockey fans are definitely odd birds as a collective group.

What 2 on 1 lasts a full minute? Some hockey fan you are mister.

I sat next to two dudes at a Devils game a month or two ago who spent the entire time talking to each other about what awesome fans they were and what horrible fans the rest of the crowd was. The truly dedicated self described experts are terrible people, but it's a small minority. The majority of people are there to have a good time and drink beer.

Which reminds me, I need to put in the request for the March 18 game at the garden.

They are for sure, I do get tired of hearing " Ive been coming here since the 60's" I saw Hull and Mikita play, so get off my lawn. Those types annoy me. But so do the damn, 20 something frat boy who gets up while the puck is in play.

I agree with Kyle and I the rest. It shows a lack of caring about others, ignorance of social norms, or bad upbringing.

It's a big pet peeve of mine.

yeah they might be done now.

all that really matters is that he's back for the playoffs. they weren't catching st. louis, and dropping to 4th in the division wouldn't really bother me. i'd actually much rather get nashville in the first round.

If that's what it looks like, he might not be back for the playoffs.
