Well then it's satisfying to know it's players from all over and not people playing for St. Louis.

They need to stop what [expletive]? Protecting themselves? No not really.

If you want to defend the police actions in these situations, take it to the politics thread or elsewhere.

I didn't bring it here, I was addressing it. It shouldn't have been brought here.

BS. If you're going to drop that here, don't try to pass off the blame. You knew damn well your opinion would be a lightning rod of negative reaction, but you needlessly threw it into a 2-post sequence that was already over. By responding, you've elicited several more posts. Drop it.

The meaning is also annoying; these guy's aren't playing a child's game just because you can play an infinitely more simple version of what they do as a kid. It's a silly bit of derision that gets tossed out way too often about pro athletes by people who seemingly just want to denigrate them because they're REALLY good at what they do.

The meaning of the post. Jesus Christ. Are you serious? The point being the difference in money over 6 years will be negligible. So deciding what uniform to put on and do the very same job in a different great city with millions of dollars for a very short amount of time is not life changing.

Millions of dollars is the opposite of negligible.

Well, to us schlups. maybe not to Dr's

and Tim

Regardless of what I do for a living; millions of dollars is certainly life changing for me and most everyone here. However, the difference between 6 years $130 million and 6 years $150 million is negligible. If you cannot understand that I feel sorry for whoever taught you math and /or finance.

You're a chiropractor, huh?

But anyway, the idea of generational wealth is not lost on these guys. Lester himself may find it difficult to spend 150 million in his lifetime, but it's just fantastically and unapologetically obtuse to think Lester is the only one who'll be spending it.

Relax, I'm just meatballing as they say. I have no ill will for you or your opinion.
