Matt Szczur hitting .299 for the past month with 14 steals and 2 measly XBH (both 2Bs)

Roster move - C Mark Zagunis has been promoted to Kane County...no corresponding move at this time

Fixed that tweet to when it should have happened.

Edwards is auditioning for the Kane County rotation. 5IP 4H 0R 0BB 1K.

He's not built his arm strength all the way back up yet, was hitting 92 earlier. Getting thru 6 with far less than his best stuff is an obvious positive. I'm just glad he's back. If Iowa does make the playoffs, I could see him and Pierce get moved up for that.

I'm going to start cutting myself unless Bryant, Soler, and Russell start smacking dongers again soon. These past 2 days have suuuuucked. Edited by ScrubMD

Yes watching Olt smack the ball around with ease, watching Baez do his best Olt impression in Chicago and having Bryant, Soler and Russell not doing much sucks.

Edit: before anyone jumps on me I'm not saying Baez is Olt

Let's see if Boise can win one tonight. So far this season I have seen them blown out 16-3 in Salem and no - hit through 9 in Hillsboro.

Underwood is very much a thrower, not a pitcher. No feel for 85 mph change. Doesn't roll off his fingers. No FB control, let alone command

Underwood just rearing back and pumping gas. 93-96 T 97. Fastball is too much for low level guys to handle. CB 75-81 is fringy and slurvy.

Penalver has somehow regressed throughout this season. I thought he had a good chance to be a utility guy in April. Now, not sure.

Chesny Young is short and quick. Sprays the ball; line drive, top spin hitter. Not much power.

Shawon Dunston picks up where he left off last time I saw him. 390 foot rope to LCF for a triple. Plus speed. First ball I've seen him drive

I just witnessed Trey Martin hit a home run with my own eyes. That just happened

12th inning walk off donger for Bryant. #40

I so badly want him to be a monster in the majors.

According to B-R, it's only the sixth time since 2004 that a minor league player has hit at least 40 HRs in a season. The others:

2013: Joey Gallo 40

2008: Dallas McPherson 42

2005: Brandon Wood 43

2004: Ryan Howard 46, Dallas McPherson 40

Barring injury, Gallo will make it 7 as he's at 38 on the year.
