The guy currently on the DL with elbow inflammation? Probably not until I know what the [expletive] it is.

Here's my list of young major league pitching I'd like to trade for....

Gausman, Cobb, Archer, Hutchison, Stroman, Kluber, Bauer, Duffy, Ventura, Gray, Walker, Fernandez, Teheran, Wheeler,Harvey, DeGrom, Cole, and Corbin.

Some have injuries currently, so they're not ideal. In going after anyone from this group, Im taking the best guy that can be had for Alcantara and/or Almora. If that's none of them, just stick to FA. Or Hamels if that backfires.

doesn't appear to be serious. The Rangers can be careful because they suck. he's 27 and cheap as hell.

Wouldn't mind Paxton either. That said most of those guys are untouchable I'd think. Hard to get good, cheap pitching.

Russo is the biggest tool, how the F does that guy have his own show? Like Cowherd times 10

He might be more aggressively loud than Cowherd, but he's not nearly the level of douche of Cowherd. Cowherd is a genuinely bad person. Russo is just an excitable puppy that pees on everything.

I love the notion that the Cubs HAVE to give up a Castro or Russell just because they might move positions. WHO CARES! There are many more positions that they need to be filled. Ever heard of moving an athletic SS to 3B? And especially saying "Oh what about our 3rd best pitching prospect for the 3 time 25 year old All-Star who may move positions."

What an insanely flawed thought. Is this just Mets fans way of thinking or what? I dont hear other fan bases saying the Cubs should trade Castro for a mediocre pitcher because they have to. Are Mets fans genuinely that naive or just a few bad apples like Russo?

Chris Russo is a Giants fan.

i have a hard time right now imagining Castro being moved

the teams who'll value his offensive skillset more are going to be turned off some by overblown makeup/effort concerns, and

the teams who'll value him more with an analytical mindset are going to be turned off some by his poor approach and shaky defense

even moving to 3B, i still see him having more worth to us than another team might realistically be willing to give up for him

He's got 13 E's to date, ranked 17th. I'm not saying that's good at all but he's not a butcher either. Not sure how this compares to his historical #'s.

Really good, it's the lowest of his career. He's been in the high 20's every year he's been in the league so far.

while his UZR error score is at an all-time high, his range has really decreased this year

i mentioned this elsewhere, but he may be settling in as a Jeter-esque fielder - more sure handed and lacking range - and if we scout him as such, he's probably headed for a move to his right next season or soon thereafter
