Villanueva could just be moved to 1B/OF to accommodate Bryant when the time comes, imo. Christian needs to work on his bat more than his glove.

Completely agree, just trying to guess what their logic might be, because he's ready. His K/BB has been much improved over the past few weeks at no cost to his power. Pitchers know he's the most dangerous hitter in the league and he just keeps torching them.

 

Maybe they're just afraid of Manny trying to tell Bryant how to hit.

He made his 11th error in the game. It was his first since may 21, a game in which he hit his 12th HR. He now has 20. That's just amazing. Right now, i'm really intrigued to see whether they actually keep him at 3b.

Yeah, the strikeout column has been the first place I've been looking on Tennessee's box scores for a while now. Of course that's because I usually already know if he's hit a homer or not, but if he can curtail the Ks, things get even more exciting.
