7 GS, 50.0 IP, 1.62 ERA, 0-3 record

I know wins and losses are dumb but wtf

You would think a lineup that features Darwin Barney would help him out.

How the hell is he at -0.3 WAR? I was expecting much lower.

That's with gold glove defense. Makes that WAR even worse.

So why can't Ramirez start? Those 3 pitches make it look like he could handle it to me.

They could probably give him a shot, but between his age and injury history, letting him be a dynamite reliever starting ASAP is probably a similar if not better value.

Just for fun, this is Tulo's current line

.408/.508/.786 for a 1.292 OPS

Before today's game he was already at 2.6fWAR through 30 games.

He's played less than half the innings so far, I think

I didn't realize he had the injury history. I'm good with the nasty he brings out of the pen in that case.

I see Luis Valbuena come to the plate and I become excited?

To this I say [expletive] the 2014 Cubs.

Valbuena's OBP is .387.

Also he's not Darwin Barney.

Ramirez, Grimm, Strop, Rondon, Rivero, Vizcaino, Wright.....BOOOOIIIIIIIINNNNNNGG!

Schlitter has been solid too. As a group, if they throw strikes, they all have nasty enough stuff to get guys out. I just get nervous as hell most of the time that they're going to have no idea where the ball is going.
