Greeny said there's a report that LeBron is only interested in 6 teams. Bulls, Clippers not on that list. Yet both he and Windhorst said Chicago is the best fit for him.

CSN article with a trade idea. I'm clueless when it comes to NBA trades, so I thought I'd post it here and see how ridiculous/awesome you guys think it is...

http://www.csnchicago.com/bulls/trade-can-bring-carmelo-anthony-chicago?p=ya5nbcs&ocid=yahoo

Possible 3 team trade between Bulls, Knicks, and Magic:

Bulls receive: Carmelo Anthony in sign-and-trade and Arron Afflalo

Magic receive: Carlos Boozer, Jimmy Butler, Bulls' 2015 1st round pick, and the Kings' protected pick

Knicks receive: Jameer Nelson, Tony Snell, Mike Dunleavy, Nikola Mirotic, non-guaranteed deals of Ronnie Brewer and Mike James.

Bulls starting five:

Joakim Noah

Taj Gibson

Carmelo Anthony

Arron Afflalo

Derrick Rose

Yes. I want to see a championship, but I want them to beat Lebron. I want to see this brand of basketball succeed. Getting a championship via Lebron would feel like sleeping with a hooker. A bald hooker.

i want them to get lebron and crush everyone's testicles because i'm a bulls fan.

I think it's awesome. Probably not realistic. Where are the 2014 Bulls picks going?

Nowhere...in that scenario, we keep them. I think the thought is that this doesn't happen till after the draft?

Without injuries and/or Thibs running all those guys into the ground, that's a guaranteed ECF team with an excellent shot at the title. Perimeter/Wing defense not great, but Thibs will just find a bunch of bench guys that can guard if need be.

A fan of laundry. It's okay. Most teams are just that. This Bulls team is one of the few in the NBA that's managed to somewhat transcend it. Lebron is incredible to watch, 2nd GOAT, but he's a frontrunning beta who quits on his team when things don't go his way. I don't see how it's unreasonable for some people to not want him to lead us to a championship. Maybe if there was no chance otherwise, but this team isn't that far away.

It is unreasonable to not want the best player in the game and maybe one day the best ever on your team. Living in Atlanta I've found out they really want choir boys here. They want good clubhouse guys above talent. And that's why they always underachieve.

53% of listeners on Waddle and Silvy said they don't want the Bulls to go after LeBron. I hate Chicago sometimes.

That is just...unbelievable.

It's almost like people in this city forgot how the Bulls won six [expletive] championships in eight years. The best players win. To not want the greatest player in this current generation because you want to build the team "the right way" (the hell does that even mean?) is absurd. Meatball city.

It would feel like any other championship, which is pretty damn good. If that's what sleeping with a bald hooker is like, well, give me more bald hookers.

Oh my god this is stupid.

I admit, I don't like Lebron, and though I recognize it's ridiculousness, I don't want him. It's irrational, and I won't try to defend it.

I like to think I'm not a meatball fan, but in this case, there's little doubt.

Yeah, if you don't want LeBron on your team, you're lying. But it would obviously be more satisfying to win a ring while doing it respectfully by building, developing, and adding pieces (instead of THE piece).

Honestly, by the 5th championship, the 90s Bulls got kinda boring and unsatisfying. The first 2 were amazing. The 3rd was still pretty good. The 4th was as amazing as the first 2 because Jordan came back after 2 years off. But by the 5th, it was pretty clear the Bulls were going to win as long as they wanted to, though the 72-win team was amazing just for being the best ever.

LeBron has acted like an idiot in the past, but I've rooted for far bigger idiots with far less talent. If the Bulls had an opportunity to sign him, I wouldn't even think twice about it. Edited by bd811

I love the scenario a couple of lines above where we get Afflalo and Melo without giving up our picks this year. You draft Ennis and Paine and add a couple of vets and that team is damn good.

EDIT: if by some miracle McDermott falls to 16 you grab him then Ennis or Paine.

The way I see it, I pretty much hated Jared Allen when he was a Viking all those years. Now that he is a Bear, I'm rooting for him to kick some Viking ass.

I've pretty much hated LBJ all of these years, and if he became a Bull (highly unlikely), all past hatred is quickly forgotten.

Any Bulls fan who pretends he would not be able to enjoy LeBron on the Bulls is a liar

Not any more respectful adding Melo than it would be with LeBron. You can have respect or go home in May every year.

Yes it is. Melo has clear defensive deficiencies, never been close to a ring, and would be coming to a team that has had tons of success due to defensive prowess. LBJ is undisputed the best in the game. It's like Jordan vs. Iverson.

I'd do cartwheels down the street if we signed him.

There's no comparison in talent levels of course, but it'd be much like the Cubs and Edmonds. Hated the guy, didn't want him, but once he's on the team and helping us win, I'd get over it.

Doesn't stop my irrational dislike for him now though.

It barely compares at all, because Edmonds looked like a washed up has been when the Cubs got him. This is the best player in the game (I assume) still in his prime. You want it and the more you pretend otherwise the more foolish you look.

But getting Melo or LeBron is not adding pieces. This isn't getting Grant or Rodman. You are adding superstars.
