My team [expletive] the bed yesterday, and not a single player met their projected point total. Meanwhile, the guy I'm playing (who recently acquired Brandon Marshall for virtually nothing) had 9/10 players exceed expectations. Vincent Jackson gave him 0, but Moreno, AP, J.Gordon, Denver, Gronk, Gostkowski, Marshall, and Alex Smith gave him 156.6pts.

 

I need either Kaepernick or RG3 to give me 113.4pts tonight. Who should I go with? :banghead:

My season has completely disintegrated. I was 4-4 when Rodgers went out, have lost all 4 since then and literally had to start no one (because I started Rodgers the week he got injured), no one (because my backup QB Geno Smith was on the bye and there was no starting QBs available to pickup, 12 team 2 QB league), then Geno Smith the last 2 weeks. I think I've gotten a combined 8 points from my QB 2 in the 4 weeks Rodgers has been hurt.

 

Then my WRs went to [expletive]. Nicks hasn't gotten more than 40 yards the last 4 weeks, Blackmon has been suspended for the season, and Green was off last week. Again because its a 12 team 4 WR start league, there is not much out there to replace these guys. This week I got 6.0 fantasy points COMBINED from my 4 WR.

 

My RBs are fine (Stacy, Gore and Tate with Lamar Miller on the bench) but Tate has broken ribs and hasnt done much since Foster was out and now it looks like Stacy has a concussion or something.

 

Despite all of this, I'm actually tied for the 8th and final playoff spot (only 30 points behind in the tiebreaker). Unfortunately I'm also tied for last place, which carries a $100 penalty in my league.

 

Ugh, thanks for letting me rant. Horrible season.

I'm gonna put in a pre rant about the long wait times on ESPN fantasy trades. Jimmy Graham puts up 16 but I need to wait til Tuesday when he's mine. I'm sure he'll put up like 4 straight 4 point weeks now.

Isn't this something dictated by your league/commish?

Probably but I think we're just set at the default. Will suggest a rule change for next year.

 

The good news I was up 17 points going into last night and despite Vernon Davis being awesome RGIII [expletive] the bed and I took home the 1 pt win and game up on the final playoff spot. Take care of this week and I'm in the playoffs with a pretty solid roster.

Picked up Andre Brown in the draft before he got injured. Couldn't justify keeping him so I dropped him and the top team in the league and my likely round 1 opponent has him now and he's playing awesome. Dammit I should have stuck with him.

The current 3rd and 4th place teams in the league are 8-5 play each other next week, and have already agreed to bench their entire lineups and tie, so both make the playoffs over me. I'd mind less if that wasn't going to cost me $50.

 

Oh well, maybe I'll lose anyway and it'd be moot.

I know no one cares, but I just missed a 6-team playoff in a 12-team league with this team:

How does that even happen? Only sort-of weak position was TE. Meanwhile some teams that are riddled with injuries and have mostly inactive managers cruised their way in. Too much of a stackhouse at RB, all 5 are Top 15 in RB pts. Was literally drawing 2 out of a hat to play each week, with Lynch being the only sure play. This week I left Jackson and Murray on my bench. FML. Thought about trading, but didn't think it would be worth trading a really good RB for a TE not named Graham or Gronkowski.

 

Thankfully I have another league where I'm in great shape to make a deep playoff run. This is why you do more than one I guess, heh.

I locked up the #1 seed today after 3 straight weeks of ridiculous performances by waiver wire QBs. I have a bad feeling that strategy is going to burn me next week.

Eek. Always been a fan of the 6-team playoffs so the top two teams get rewarded with byes. I understand having more if your league is bigger than 12 though.

 

Rolled my opponent today. The Charles, Lacy, and Vereen trio is too damn fun. Will be sad to see it end. Have to face arguably the best team in the league in next week's semifinals, although he has Peterson and Gronk so we'll see what happens there.
